About Us
I, Jase Franklyn, hail from the twin-island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (Tobago). I learnt to barbecue from my mother in Tobago, where we would barbecue for our extended family at annual Christmas and New Year gatherings. In 2003, I moved to the USA to pursue Computer Information System at college. However, on weekends and special occasions, I would always be “on the grill.” In 2018, I formed Jase’s BBQ LLC where I participated in events during the summer. In the summer of 2019, I won Best Food Overall with my Jerk Pork and Signature BBQ Pigtails at the Bacon and Beer Classic NYC event. In 2020, I won the Hidden Gem Award for my delicious and succulent BBQ Pigtails at the Pig Island NYC event. Also in 2021 at Ribking NYC I won Best Rib Dinner. My popular dishes include BBQ Pigtails, Jerk Chicken, Jerk Pork, Brisket,Ribs, Chicken Ham, Mac n Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Corn on Cob and Garlic Shrimp. Customers love my food because it’s indisputably “smoked and seasoned to perfection”, which synchronically is also my mission statement.
